AI for E-commerce Stores

AI for e-commerce stores answers "where's my order?" from live order data in seconds, recommends products that are actually in stock, offers a single-use discount code at the moment a shopper shows interest, and builds on-brand email campaigns inside Klaviyo. Your CX team handles the problems. The AI handles the repeats.

Who is it for?

  • Online stores
  • D2C brands
  • Subscription products
  • Retailers with online and phone sales

If most of your support inbox is the same three questions, and most of your repeat sales come from email, this page is about you.

Where do e-commerce stores lose time and money?

E-commerce stores lose time on the same few support questions and money on discounts that go to the wrong people. Order status, delivery and returns take most of the CX team's day, shoppers who needed advice leave without buying, and blanket promo codes end up on coupon sites while undecided shoppers get no nudge at all.

  1. Repetitive tickets

Where is my order, when will it arrive, how do I return this. Every day, by hand.
  2. Pre-sales questions go unanswered

A shopper who wanted advice on size or compatibility leaves instead of asking twice.
  3. Blanket discounts leak

Codes end up on coupon sites and go to customers who'd have bought anyway.
  4. Peak-season spikes

Phones and chat queues overflow around sales and holidays.
  5. High-value enquiries sit in the inbox

Bulk, wholesale and custom orders wait days for a reply.
  6. Email built by hand

Templates rebuilt, products and links swapped, and customer lists exported and imported for every campaign.
  7. Reviews never asked for

Most happy customers never leave one, because nobody asked.

Systems for e-commerce

How can an AI chat agent help e-commerce stores?

An AI chat agent works as a shop assistant in your store's chat. It looks up orders live by order number or email, finds products from your live catalogue and shows them as carousels with stock levels, and creates a unique, time-limited discount code for the product a shopper is interested in. Problems go to your CX team as tickets.

AI chat agents
Support answered, sales closed in the chat
  • Order tracking. Customers who've lost their order number can use their email alone.
  • Product finder. Searches your catalogue by name, type, tags and variants, with a sentence on why each product fits. The agent only needs your list of product types and tags, not a copy of your catalogue.
  • Discount at the moment of interest. One use per customer, valid for a short time, such as 3 days, created in your store for that one product.
  • Returns and policy questions. Answered from your shipping and returns policy. Delayed or damaged orders become tickets with the order attached.
  • Specialists in one chat. Support and sales can be separate specialist agents, each introducing itself when the conversation moves to it.

How can an AI voice agent help e-commerce stores?

An AI voice agent runs your customer service line. It looks up order status and tracking from your store platform, explains your returns policy and starts the return, recommends products by size, use or budget, and takes overflow calls around sales and holidays. It also calls wholesale and bulk-order enquiries back within minutes.

AI voice agents
Only the calls that need a person reach your team
  • Order and delivery line. Delivery problems logged as tickets with the order details attached.
  • Returns and exchanges. Checks eligibility and starts the process. Exceptions go to your CX team with a full summary.
  • Product advice line. The phone version of a knowledgeable shop assistant.
  • High-value callbacks. Captures quantities, requirements and timelines for bulk, B2B and custom orders, and books a call with sales.
  • Personal shopping. For considered purchases like furniture, bridal or made-to-measure, it books fittings and showroom visits.

How can AI automations help e-commerce stores?

AI automations do the manual work inside your email platform, such as Klaviyo. They fill your best templates with new copy, images and links, sync store customers with their consent status so only opted-in customers get marketing, check every email for required legal elements, and ask every customer for a review after delivery.

AI automations
Campaigns assembled, your team approves
  • On-brand campaigns. Your logo, fonts and colours pulled in automatically, with several subject lines to choose from.
  • Flows, with your approval. Welcome, abandoned-cart and post-purchase flows are set up in the build. AI then recommends changes and your team approves them, because rewriting live flows automatically causes more errors than it saves.
  • Consent-aware customer sync. Your store connected to your email platform, tagged and segmented, no spreadsheet exports.
  • Review requests. Every customer asked, whatever their experience, as Google requires. Low scores alert your team privately.

Which jobs can AI take on for e-commerce stores?

AI can take on the high-volume, repeatable work in an online store: order status questions, customer service, product recommendations, personalised discount codes, email campaigns and review requests. Some of these have their own use case page; others sit on the business area page where they belong.

How would we build it for you?

We haven't published an e-commerce client case study yet. What we do have is a demo we built.

A demo we built: Shopify support and sales agent

For a Make.com community challenge, we built a Voiceflow agent for a Shopify store, connected through Make.com. A support specialist tracked orders by order number and email. A sales specialist recommended products from the live catalogue as carousels with stock levels, and created single-use discount codes in Shopify for the product a shopper chose. It's a demo, not client work, but it's the same build we'd start from.
  1. 01

    Check what your platform allows

On the discovery call we confirm what your store platform's API exposes for products, orders and discounts, and which helpdesk your CX team uses.
  2. 02

Build on your catalogue and policies

The agent searches your live catalogue and answers from your shipping and returns policy. You keep your products in your store as usual.
  3. 03

    Test and launch

We test on real orders and products before go-live. Chat agents and automations come with a 2-week warranty, and support plans cover changes after that.

Questions

Answer

Can AI answer where-is-my-order questions?

Yes. The chat or voice agent looks up orders live from your store platform by order number, email or both, and explains where each one is. Customers who've lost their order number can use their email alone. Delayed or damaged orders are passed to your CX team as a ticket with the order details and conversation attached, so only problem orders need a person.
